She met Sifeng when she 10 years old (its too young for fall in love), and sifeng is 13 years old (he’s more mature than his ages and his knowledge is pretty good maybe just because he has a special bloodline)
Their first met is really simple and funny (unlike the drama, xuanji fall from the sky) but when xuanji hurts xiao yinhua and sifeng got angry because of that.. at that time, sifeng is really shy because he never talk with a girl.. and xuanji’s first comment about him is his mask is really ugly… ^^ of course Sifeng so upset.
In first novel, its talk about relationship with xuanji, zhong mingyan, and sifeng. Then linglong will join later, but this more tell about mingyan thoughts.

After Xuanji and Sifeng separated… Xuanji learn how to be cultivator with aunt yinghong (No Haochen in this novel and aunt yinghong is really wise woman) Then Xuanji forget about Sifeng (heartless xuanji poor sifeng)
In novel, we still don’t know yet what Sifeng going through during 4 years.. He wait and miss xuanji. He waiting for her but no news at all from her.
After 4 years, they met again when they fight Quru bird like the drama. But Sifeng is really happy when he met xuanji again (different from drama because he’s being cold to Xuanji because he hear from the bell about xuanji like mingyan, but no magic bell like handphone in the novel)
Yanran in the novel is not Xiao Yinhua. She’s still a snake and never became a human. (and Xiao Yinhua has someone she love and that’s not Yu Sifeng)
Sifeng ask Xuanji why she forget about her… and Xuanji really feeling guilty and try to apologize with anything… but Sifeng still feel disappointing..
After that everything went the same as in the drama. Xuanji trapped in cave and open Sifeng’s mask.. (but in the novel, Xuanji not find Dingkun in this cave)
That sword is given from Chulei and the name is Bengyu sword (but also known as Dingkun)
Sifeng kiss Xuanji and reveal his feeling in fuyu island… but Xuanji never answer his feeling. They look like a couple but Sifeng still not satisfy because he want it all from xuanji included her heart… but Xuanji is dumb and heartless anyway… she know Sifeng is important but don’t know why she feel that way… she satisfy because sifeng always spoil and be there for her…
Sifeng once wanted to go away from her but xuanji always asking him not to leaved… she need him (but without a reason). After Xuanji cry, finally Sifeng make a promise never to leave her and will don’t go if Xuanji regret it…
In drama, Sifeng will being accused he’s a demon from righteous sects and haochen. They tortured him more and more… Different from novel. Everyone has their on roles… not everything is always Sifeng this or sifeng there. So he doesn’t bleed too much.
After that, they know that linglong is back but she lost her soul.
After Fuyu island, Xuanji Sifeng Mingyan Ruoyu will going to Buzhou mountain but they met Zihu Purple Fox. She ask them to save Tingnu. And so far Tingnu is the only one who can save Linglong. He can return Linglong’s soul to her body.
And finally they met Liu Yihuan. You will find Liu Yihuan is quite different from the drama. He has a chaotic house and so careless outside… the drama never talk too much about his relationship with sifeng. But in novel, their relationship is like father and son. Liu Yihuan lost his daughter a long ago. Because he always do whatever he like, he always being punish with old palace master (Sifeng’s father still not yet became a palace master)
You will know the story about Lize palace if you read the novel. The background is really interesting.
Finally, They go to some old house in (forgot what house in qinyang city) for save Tingnu from snake demon. In that old house, Xuanji found Bahuang mirror and know about God of War.
After save Tingnu. Purple Fox brought them to Buzhou san to save linglong. Liu Yihuan and Tingnu wait in Qinyang.
This scene is same like the drama. Go inside Buzhou san, purple fox gone (because of Yuenliang) then met wutong and he give linglong’s soul then mingyan and ruoyu betray them and Ruoyu stab Sifeng.
Sifeng injured and need to recover half a year. He need to removing his 2 seals from his body for cured the wound. Heyang also help treat his wound (Aunt Yinhong’s husband).
After that Chulei, Heyang, Yinhong need to back to Shaoyang Peak for prepare the next hairpin competition. Xuanji stay to take care of Sifeng.
This scene is really sweet because Xuanji being spoiled to Sifeng.
Since Sifeng awake from his consciousness, xuanji never met him and just stay outside his room. Her father and her master is really confused with her behavior.
After they go, she try to go inside his room and asking about his condition.
They talk a lot and xuanji said she will bring linglong’s soul to Tingnu in Qinyang later… actually sifeng doesn’t want to separated but he let xuanji go.
And then xuanji said “Sifeng, can I hug you?” and sifeng hug and kiss her. He tell her to not leave him (actually this pointed for her not going to qinyang alone) but xuanji thought, sifeng ask her not to leave him tonight. The she said okay I will sleep with you every night ^^ (stupid xuanji)
She always want to sleep in Sifeng’s bed. She never know what man’s feeling if the woman he love sleep with him in the same bed. Heartless Xuanji poor sifeng.
After once he let her sleep with him, Sifeng try to act cold and reject her when she want to sleep with him again.
But that night, when she came to sifeng’s bedroom (You go girl)
Actually she scared sifeng already hate her because he always look angry when she want to sleep with him. She tell him about that and sifeng cant understand why xuanji is so clueless.. when he start to argue, chulei’s spiritual animal appear and brought chulei’s message for them. Distract them for a while.
After that… with some reason, Sifeng let her sleep with him that night..
Well.. I think I will not described what reason is.. Everytime I read about their intimacy is set me on fire lol so better not to say anything..
Later when sifeng getting better, Xuanji go to Qinyang to met Tingnu and Yihuan.
But Li yihuan scolded xuanji for let sifeng alone. He tell her about his lover curse and Lizegong will take him immediately after xuanji gone…
Lizegong cant do anything with xuanji in his side.
More than that, Tingnu said the Linglong’s soul is fake. This is only animal’s soul not human’s soul.
Xuanji panic and they go back to sifeng. But they too late. Sifeng already gone and back to lizegong.
They going to Lizegong and take sifeng back. Well you can see many disciple of lizegong is envy with sifeng because he can be with his lover. The rule of lizegong is they can’t leaved lizegong and never married.
After that yihuan and tingnu separated with them and make a promise to met again in fuyu island (I think half a year)
That time… sifeng and xuanji be together.
And finally they met Tengshe in their journey to go to fuyu island. Is really funny when their first met..
When they fight, Tengshe burn sifeng and don’t know why, xuanji thought sifeng already die and want to kill Tengshe with Samadhi fire. When she going to kill him, suddenly sifeng show up and tell her to put her blood in his wound (this for make Tengshe being xuanji’s spiritual animal)
You know why sifeng is hiding from xuanji? Is because Tengshe burn all his clothes til naked lol he try to hard to cover up his body…
Before they go back to shaoyang, they met mingyan and ruoyu. Mingyan give the real of linglong’s soul secretly to sifeng.
After that they save linglong with tingnu and Liu yihuan in shaoyang peak.
After that they going to fuyu island to join hairpin competition. In fuyu, Mingyan is back and ask to forgiveness. The rest is same like drama.. he already not a disciple of shaoyang sect and linglong follow him.
In fuyu, Sifeng try to show his true feeling to xuanji. Well their relationship is more deep and sifeng want xuanji to be different. He wanted xuanji to be his and in the future xuanji really belonged to him.
And I think this is the first time xuanji feel something different about sifeng. She know what man can do if you stay with him alone in bedroom lol
Sifeng also give red bird hairpin to xuanji (different from the drama, this hairpin never back to sifeng. Xuanji keep that things and the novel never mention it again. Not like in drama, this stupid hairpin always go back to sifeng’s hand many times lol)
Lets continue to the story. Finally in this part, xuanji will know the true identity about sifeng.
In final hairpin competition, Xuanyuan sect try to attack all sects. They have to do that because its order from Wutong (like in drama, they already join Wutong and betray all sects)
In the middle of fight, Grand palace master of lizegong reveal his identity and attack chulei and others master. Of course sifeng help them because grand palace master is too greater than all sects…
Actually lize gong is more complex in the novel than the drama. They have interesting story and background. And surprisingly WuZhiqi help to findsz many red gold bird in every area… Wuzhiqi in novel doesn’t know about moshaxing but he steal Juntian Cehai for yuanliang. But lets talk about them later.
When Grand Palace Master want to kill all sect’s master, The deputy head of the palace comes and explain that he represents lizegong is no interest to kill all sects. he just wanted wuzhiqi released. and when he laughs at sifeng because he doesn’t know anything. both lizegong’s true purpose and his origins. Xuanji came to support Sifeng and grasped his hand tightly.
Later Grand palace reveal all lizegong is red gold bird demon and all disciple release their seals and show their wings. Xuanji remember that Sifeng also have that seals and she only look at him with pale face.
If you watch the drama, start from this scene we will look sifeng’s suffering and many vomit blood parts… Different from novel, xuanji reaction is more reasonable.
When she look at him and wait for sifeng to confirm, he just say “I’m sorry” then all of sudden she pulling her hand with reflects. She’s mind yell to not let him go but she unable said anything. Sifeng is disappointed and cry with her reaction and released his seals and said “I will not let they kill more further”
Li Yihuan ask xuanji “Do you will let him go?” of course xuanji has many thoughts and can’t think anything.
After that, the lover curse is trigger and sifeng hurts. Grand palace master take him out from the fights and go away. Xuanji and liu yihuan go after them.
Xuanji try to take sifeng back but Yihuan say to her to be careful with the lover curse or she will kill her. Xuanji don’t understand how can she kill him? And deputy head palace answer her “”You didn’t kill him with your sword, you killed him with your heart.”
“You are talking nonsense!” Xuanji was not very polite to him, his face was like a layer of ice.
The deputy head of the palace said: “How do I speak nonsense? Do you know what it means to fall in love with each other? Did you know that an insider’s curse will only happen if you worry about gain and loss? Who is the person to make him worry about gain and loss? You? Since you don’t love him, why don’t you let him go? It is not him who is ensnared, but you. “
“Xuanji, liking and love are two things. You like many people, parents, sisters, brothers … You can like many people, but your love is different. In this world, you will only love one person. “
So … Is Yu Sifeng is important person for her? She thought for a long time, sweating all over her mind, and couldn’t find an answer. She never really lost him. She always sure that He would stay with her, and he would never leave. As long as he exists. I will never be alone.
Is that love?
Actually at that time, Sifeng also hear their conversation and really sad because xuanji can’t say her feeling to him.
He knows Xuanji well, she does not understand love, she is like a child who is afraid of loneliness, attracting everyone to accompany him, so that she can feel comfortable. He had deceived himself and enough with that.
In this scene, Sifeng will let xuanji go from his life. He’s tired to wait. But xuanji doesn’t want sifeng go and insist to take him back.
Xuanji really wants sifeng back but unfortunately sifeng doesn’t want her anymore. even though the feeling is still there but he doesn’t want to be with her anymore. After that, they separated for a long time.
From this scene, Sifeng actually wants to teach Xuanji to be able to realized her feelings.
In novel, all sects doesn’t give too much thought to Sifeng. They have they own battle with Wutong. Who’s want take a revenge.
After chaos in Fuyu Island, Chulei got the news about many demon and bifang attack Shaoyang peak. They going back and fight with the demons.
Chulei is more open mind about sifeng’s identity. Maybe because Xuanji also looked strange in his eyes. His wife (still alive in the novel) say “He is a demon, how can our daughter be with him?” and chulei said “It’s okay to be a demon. From my view, Xuanji’s origins are also quite strange. She didn’t look like anything when she was a kid”
Aunt Yinhong also agree with Sifeng and will help xuanji if her parent doesn’t approved their relationship..
After that, Ruoyu come to mingyan and tell about a lot of things.. He know why sifeng’s memory have been erased when he was a kid (Will explain later) and the true purpose of Lizegong. After he explain it all, he stab mingyan and runaway. Actually I’m feel sad about Ruoyu. Since the beginning, his life completely controlled by Yuanliang.
Later we know the reason he stab Mingyan is command from yuanliang. To help sifeng and xuanji be together. Yuanliang know about xuanji’s feeling to mingyan. If sifeng and xuanji be together, sifeng will leave lizegong so he can take the control of the palace.
Actually Ruoyu has a tragic ending for me..in the drama, at least he can take the revenge.. but in the novel, he become a crazy man.. In the novel, his sister is already long dead but he keep think his sister still alive even when he already her dead body. He still follow yuanliang instruction like usual. in the end he can take what was left of her sister’s body and in his imagination he would take her to eat and buy new clothes (poor ruoyu)
After mingyan got hurt. Xuanji and tengshe go to Buzhousan to kill Wutong. Zihu ask xuanji to bring her because she still want to find Wuqizhi. After fight with wutong, they ended in underworld (same like hell). Wutong die in there and xuanji, tengshe and zihu try to find Wu qizhi. After they met, is quite interesting when I found that Wuqi ever ask GoW to be his friend and GoW agree with him and after that GoW bring Wuqi to the jail. And of course Xuanji don’t remember any of this. Xuanji and Tengshe left underworld but zihu choose to stay.
After they go back to shaoyang. Xuanji tell everything to her dad. And after she found that mingyan its okay, she bring tengshe to lizegong to find Sifeng. This time she already sure what sifeng’s mean for her heart.
Now back to Sifeng, like the drama, his dad give him the cure of lovers curse (actually the potion can make you forget about anything) he almost drink it but when he remember xuanji, he wasn’t willing to forget her. His dad will going to released wuqizhi and leave sifeng in the palace, he think that’s more safe if sifeng stay away from xuanji. But Liu Yihuan come to sifeng. The next scene is quite same like the drama, the palace chief tell sifeng how he and his wife love each other and yuanlian came to them tell sifeng that his father is have some delusional… after that the lover curse in chief palace is trigger and sifeng make a promise will release wuqizhi and take juntian cehai in exchange yuanliang will take care of his father (actually its too weird if sifeng can believe someone like yuanliang but it’s happen). Sifeng and lu yihuan left lizegong. Before leaved lizegong, sifeng give the cure of lover’s curse to chief palace for forget his wife.
15 days later, xuanji came to lizegong but can’t find sifeng. And almost 2 years til she can find him again.
In the drama always need more drama. The writer need to make xuanji betray Sifeng like her previous life and then she regret that. You can’t find more drama in the novel. Xuanji is hard to know or feel her love to sifeng but she never has a doubt of him..yeah maybe this because no haochen in the novel..
Xuanji and Tengshe finally arrived in Lanlan village, where Master Yi (sifeng) was there. In drama, Xuanji met sifeng when he pretended to marry lanlan. But in the novel, sifeng is really cold and careless to all ladies in that village. Xuanji met him infront his house when lanlan give some food to Master Yi.
Sifeng try to push xuanji away since beginning but he’s still gentle and caring for xuanji. and because xuanji was injured (hit by hot water like in drama) sifeng always took care of her gently.
Xuanji be so frustrated because sifeng keep pushing her away. And when she company him and lanlan to found some medicinal plant, xuanji go somewhere to find some fire raccoon ( butterfly in the drama, but in novel, xuanji just think about money lol she think she can sell that raccoon with high prices).
Suddenly sifeng come to her and he think xuanji got jealous with him and lanlan. But he really disappointing that xuanji still the same, she’s still heartless and just make sifeng burn with all his feeling. He said: why you’re here? Then the lover curse is trigger. He fainted.
In his dream, he met his father. His father try to tell him about xuanji is your demon. Leaved her and come to me.. then his dream change and his mother come to him with smile…
After that, sifeng awake in his house. Xuanji bring sifeng back alone and put sifeng in the bed. She hug him and cry.
In this scene they back together. Different from the drama, xuanji need to wait in the outside at the winter (actually although you is cultivator, you still die if you keep wait everyday every night in winter season without food and drink)
Lan lan is broken heart when xuanji and sifeng be together again. She hate xuanji for that but she’s still want to learn medicine to sifeng.
(Ah anyway..different from the drama, in novel, sifeng doesn’t have juntian cehai in his body)
The next scene is tengshe all of sudden he want to leave xuanji. Xuanji is really sad and never understand why he do that. And she got drunk to forget her sadness. Sifeng take care of her and try to put her in bed… but suddenly everything got out of control and they slept together (Sifeng can hold anymore lol)
After that night Sifeng and xuanji slept in one room and become a lover. All ladies in the village is very sad and jealous but can’t do anything.
Xuanji still hope that Tengshe can back to her but he never show up (spiritual animal can’t separated from his master more than 2 days or they will become weak) And xiao yinhua also sad because she can’t met tengshe again.
In the other night, Sifeng tell xuanji about he and liu yihuan go to underworld to released Wuqizhi. The chains that held him were removed but he was in no mood to leave. Wuqi will leave when he’s ready to go. and Wuqi didn’t want to hand over the cehai junta to sifeng.
After that, Liu Yihuan ask Sifeng to stay with him in qinyang, but Sifeng refused. Actually, Sifeng wants to leave this country but he still hopes that Xuanji can find him again. Xuanji was confused, why she couldn’t find Liu Yihuan when she was in Qinyang City.
In the end xuanji knew that sifeng already knew that xuanji had been looking for him all this time but chose to wait until xuanji found him. Liu Yihuan always runs away when Xuanji try to find him.
Cruel man. sifeng bet on xuanji to fight for his love. even if he lost, he would sadly pursue Xuanji again lol. Actually after this scene, the next it will be very different from the drama. It’s like you see another drama…
